There probably isn’t a greater Netflix fan than Netflix itself. Serial binge-watchers from the company have found a couple of parallels between its original show Black Mirror and evergreen sitcom Friends, much to the delight of crossover lovers.
In October, the platform threw back to when a Friends character predicted Black Mirror’s ‘San Junipero’ episode.
Surprisingly and mildly disappointingly, the eccentric New Age enthusiast ‘Phoebe Buffay’ did not foresee what was to come—it was ‘Ross Geller’ who imagined a world where people could “download thoughts and memories” and “live forever as a machine.”
Netflix has uploaded a clip from the episode ‘The One Where Phoebe Runs’, hilariously renaming it ‘The One Where Ross Invents San Junipero’.

On Thursday, Netflix found another connection between both shows. Remember the killer “dogs” in Black Mirror’s ‘Metalhead’? Apparently, the Friends characters were also terrorized by a dangerous canine in ‘The One With The Bullies’.
So, no one told you life was going to be this way—but don’t say Friends never warned you.
