A pair of strange potato chip flavors is making people gulp profusely, though it’s not in the way you might think.
‘Yogurt’ and ‘Cola’ Pringles have made their way to South Korean discount store retail chain Homeplus to quench the thirst of adventurous snackers.
The ‘Yogurt’ variation features sour cream in its ingredient list, so it might not differ that far in taste from sour cream-flavored snacks. In a press release, the company wrote that it resembles the “rich flavor of sweet and sour yogurt.”
“I bought it out of curiosity and it does taste like yogurt,” penned a reviewer.
The ‘Cola’ version on the other hand, is said to offer the unique fragrance of refreshing cola. Unfortunately, it isn’t as well-received, with customers griping that the cola flavor is barely there.
Just like its fans, once Pringles South Korea pops, it can’t stop. “We will continue to develop new products with several barrier-breaking flavors,” marketing lead Dong-Hwan Lim concluded.
The two flavors are exclusively available in South Korea at KR₩2,700 (US$2.54) a can.
