Dunkin’ has shared a tweet that appears to be throwing shade at McDonald’s newly-released ‘Donut Sticks’.
Not long after Dunkin’ unleashed ‘Donut Fries’, McDonald’s unveiled a breakfast exclusive that was similar to its cinnamon sugar-dusted croissant sticks.
The donut company tweeted last Monday, “What a weird coincidence.. McDonald’s came out with ‘Donut Sticks’, and we just released the blueprints to our new donut packaging…”
Taking another swipe at the fast food chain, Dunkin’ shared concept drawings of a packaging that resembles McDonald’s burger box.
According to a Dunkin’ representative, the tweet was a fun way to poke fun of competitors that have cashed in on the brand’s ‘Donut Fries’ idea.
