PrettyLittleThing’s Sizing Gaffe Leaves Customer’s Boobs Spilling Out Of Bikini
By Izza Sofia, 18 Jun 2019
A customer has shared her frustrations on social media after an online purchase from fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing turned out horribly wrong.
Lydia Ramsey bought a blue bikini from the website for the summer. Unfortunately, the US$45 bandage bikini proved to be too small, as the top could not even keep her breasts in, which spilled out of the garment. The shopper took to Twitter to vent out her frustrations, saying that she was, “Never buying a bikini from @OfficialPLT again.”
She further claimed that the website’s sizes were certainly “not right,” as the swimsuit that she bought was already two sizes bigger than her actual size, which was a 14.
She also posted side-by-side images of herself donning the top against a picture of the PrettyLittleThing model. Her distress was seconded by existing customers, with one commenting that a similar mishap happened with her despite ordering “three sizes up for bikini tops.”
The retailer got hold of Ramsey’s complaint, and has since apologized for the error.
The company then asked the unhappy customer to “pop” it a direct message so that it could look into the matter. Social media users, though, found the choice of word, “pop,” aptly amusing.
Happens to me every time and I even size up three sizes for bikini tops 😥😠— nis (@Asinaaaax) June 16, 2019
