Greta Thunberg has finally made her way home to Stockholm, Sweden after months of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean for the UN Climate Summit. As part of her Fridays For Future movement, the teenager traveled across Europe, rallying others to raise their voices to shed light on the climate crisis.
The 16-year-old recently traveled in a German train and shared an image of her sitting on the floor of the crowded train. Soon, Twitter users began criticizing the German railways but Thunberg calmed the angered mob by explaining that “overcrowded trains is a great sign,” as it meant “the demand for train travel” was significant.
Thunberg opted to travel by sails and trains as an alternative to flying because planes contribute to high carbon emissions.
Now, the Swedish climate activist is back home with her dogs, Moses the golden retriever and Roxy the Labrador, and shared an image of the reunion online.
“Home!” the teenager wrote in her caption.
Take a look at the heartfelt moment below.
