Burger King has unveiled a new advert that commemorates those staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the timely Stay Home of the Whopper campaign, the spot promotes the chain’s delivery service to encourage people to take shelter indoors.
The restaurant’s latest Instagram post urges customers to, “Be patriotic. Stay at home.” It highlights how healthcare professionals are at work, and the least you can do to help with the situation is to be a couch potato.
The fast-food giant will waive delivery fees for orders above US$10 made via its app.
To play its part in combating the COVID-19 crisis, Burger King donated around 250,000 Whoppers to American Nurses Foundation to boost nurses’ morale. The restaurant is also offering specific codes for nurses to use when ordering through its mobile app.
Customers can additionally text “THANKS” to 20222 to donate US$10 to the American Nurses Foundation Coronavirus Response Fund.
