Starbucks Japan has opened a two-story cafe inside the Circles Ginza building with its own shared office, as well as individual work booths.
The first floor features the regular Starbucks layout with baristas working in their stations. It supports cashless payments and Starbucks’ mobile ordering system, so customers can pre-order their drinks and collect it at the pickup counter.
On the second floor, the cafe has extended itself to be more of a co-working space for remote workers and businesspeople to work alone or meet over coffee. It houses solo work booths fixed with furniture for private video calls or in-person meetings.
The space was created in partnership with media company Think Lab, who manages the private booths that costs an additional fee of ¥300 (US$2.80) for 15 minutes of use.
There is also a shared office area for patrons to get their work done without the extra fee. Take a look at the images of the outlet below.
